Built in 1865, our Victorian Inn has a storied history in the middle of Gold Country in Sutter Creek, CA. The buildings were extensively renovated by the Foxes when they took over the mansion with the intention of converting it into an Inn. This legendary couple started the tradition of the two-course breakfast served on silver service - one that we continue with pride and honor!

You can find our Chain of Title framed in the parlor - our Foxie Founder is the first woman to purchase the property solo rather than inheriting from a man. We are a mostly women-led establishment and enjoy being a platform for employment and opportunity for a diverse community of individuals and entrepreneurs.

Our beautiful gardens can be enjoyed year-round and we now offer chef’s table experiences, healing massages in our parlor, and a range of in-room upgrades to spoil our guests. We feature local artisan products from olive oil to coffee, garlic, produce, soap and bath products that are available in our gift shop.
